Geneva Invitational Set for Thursday Start as Round 1 Tee Times Go Live
The inaugural Geneva Invitational tees off Thursday morning at the Golf & Country Club de Bonmont, and the final piece is in place: Round 1 tee times are now live on the tournament website. Over 36 holes of stroke play on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August, a field of 37 juniors will contest the first AJGA International Pathways Series event ever played on Swiss soil.
Play runs in two divisions — Boys 12–18 and Girls 12–18 — with AJGA Performance Based Entry Stars awarded deep into each field and fully exempt AJGA status waiting for the champions of the two premier divisions.
Following the play
Scoring is live from the first group. On-course scoring runs through the Golf Genius app, with each player’s GGID access code printed on their scorecard, and every leaderboard can be followed on this site throughout both rounds.
On the ground at Bonmont
The driving range opens at 7:00 am ahead of play on both days. Water and snacks will be stationed at the 1st tee and behind the 9th green during both rounds, and lunch is served to players and parents after each round.
Pathways presentation on Thursday
Once Round 1 is complete, the tournament’s wider purpose takes the floor. At approximately 3:45 pm on Thursday, Patrick McGuire, AJGA Director of International Pathways Series, will give a presentation on Performance Based Entry — the system that converts results this week into starting spots in official AJGA tournaments in the United States — followed by an open Q&A for players and families. McGuire will also be on site across both rounds.
Awards on Friday
The Awards Presentation closes the tournament on Friday at approximately 4:15–4:30 pm on the putting green, following the completion of Round 2 — or immediately after a playoff, should one be needed to decide a champion.
Two rounds, three divisions and a first for Swiss junior golf: the Geneva Invitational is ready to begin.
